At Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation & Community Services (GEARS), we are very proud to be recognized by the National Youth Sports Strategy as a NYSS Champion.
The National Youth Sports Strategy aims to unite U.S. youth sports culture around a shared vision: that one day, all youth will have the opportunity, motivation, and access to play sports.
The Strategy is based on research and best practices from the scientific community and successful youth sports programs across the United States. It offers actionable ideas for parents, coaches, organizations, communities, and policymakers to support youth sports participation for all.
Iddy Biddy Gym Class Heroes
This class is an intro to sports and classic gym class games. Help your little one develop their motor skills in a fun and encouraging environment! Players will learn new skills and develop athletic movements along with hand-eye coordination and teamwork. Emphasis on the following sports: soccer, football, racket sports, obstacle courses and group games. Ages 3-6.

Iddy Biddy Soccer
Coaches will teach the fundamentals of soccer. Players will learn new skills and develop athletic movements along with expanding their large and small motor skills. Emphasis on building self confidence and teamwork. Players will learn soccer through fun games and stations. Fee includes t-shirt. Ages 3-6

Mommy & Me Chef
Join us for a fun mommy & me workshop that includes sensory play, colorful discovery, and no-pressure food exploration! The Wellness Grove dietitian team believes that falling in love with food starts with curiosity, not a clean plate. In this interactive workshop, you will move away from dinner table battles and into a world of food exploration and adventure!
- Tiny Chef Skills: Your little ones will help prep a simple, kid-friendly snack, empowering them to take ownership of what’s on their plate.
- Take-Home Goodies: Every duo will leave with a "Food Explorer Taster" chart and a recipe card to keep the fun going in your own kitchen.
Perfect for toddlers (ages 2–5) and their favorite grown-up! Whether you have a brave taster or a professional veggie-avoider, this workshop is designed to be a safe, fun space for everyone.

Toddler Gym
Get your little one moving in this fun, active class designed for toddlers and their caregivers. Each session begins with a group warm-up followed by time to explore the exciting obstacle courses and activity stations created with gymnastics equipment. Children will build coordination, confidence and motor skills through play while enjoying quality time together. (Ages 18 months-3 years)
This program is available as a drop in class or as a whole session.

WHH Preschool Story Hour
Join us for this interactive program that introduces young learners to the traditions of the past through stories, songs, movement, hands-on crafts, cooking, games and simple activities inspired by the 1700s. Each month has a different theme that encourages imagination and curiosity in a fun and welcoming environment. Ages 3-6
